Perform a full range of professional dental treatments to include treatment of commonly encountered dental diseases or dental health problems requiring standard corrective, restorative, or preventative measures, such as single and multiple tooth extractions, restoration of various lesions with standard and prescribed material, prosthodontics such as crowns, dentures, and bridges.

Document patient treatment in the dental treatment record, Dentrix, to enter patient-specific workload, readiness status, and patient scheduling.

Recommend and refer patients to other Indian Health Service providers and Purchase Referred Care vendors within appropriate Client guidelines.

Responsible for actions necessary for The Joint Commission (TJC) standard compliance and administrative policies, as directed.

Provide consultation to the Hospital Emergency Department health care providers on an as-needed basis.

Provide physician service and staff the urgent care clinic, as needed.

Complete all annual training required by the Clinical Director and Client/HHS policies.

Electronically document services utilizing the appropriate electronic medical record system for patient encounters; complete all required administrative paperwork within 24 hours of patient visit to include electronic consults, co-signatures, completion of chart or Risk Management Reviews, unusual occurrences, and peer review, as required.

Permanent, current, full, and unrestricted license to practice dentistry in a state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.

Graduate of an accredited dental school approved by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) of the American Dental Association (ADA) with either a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree.

Minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience.
