Registered Nurse - ICU
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for our Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The ideal candidate will collaborate with physicians to create and implement a plan of care aimed at restoring patients to optimal health. The role requires providing bedside nursing care, executing medical orders, and overseeing nursing assistants and ancillary personnel. You will evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and ensure continuous improvement in patient outcomes.
Responsibilities

Assume a leadership role by integrating evidence-based knowledge into practice.
Delegate and coordinate nursing care tasks effectively.
Facilitate and participate in patient conferences, ensuring all patient needs are addressed.
Conduct ongoing assessments and establish patient discharge and transfer needs.
Engage in professional development and educational opportunities to enhance skills.
Mentor and guide new employees and students in the nursing field.
Communicate relevant information clearly and effectively to patients and team members.
Exhibit organizational skills through effective planning and execution of care activities.
This is a full-time position, requiring 12-hour day shifts, with a guaranteed minimum of 48 hours per week.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of ICU experience (required)
• Ability to float to Emergency Department (ED) and Step Down units (required)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (required)
• TCAR, TNCC, CCRN, SCRN certifications (nice to have)
• Travel experience (preferred)
• Neurosurgical and open heart experience (preferred)
• Current Michigan RN license
