Providing the highest level of quality service in a responsive and efficient manner to the entire university community while creating and caring for a physical environment in which those who seek knowledge, enlightenment and well‑being enjoy successful, productive, and fulfilled lives. Facilities Services Division provides quality customer service by maintaining a safe, healthy, and aesthetically pleasing environment in which students, faculty, and staff can function and accomplish their educational objectives and by supporting a patient care culture that continuously improves. Facilities Services' responsibilities include Interior and Exterior Facilities Support, Construction, Space Management, and Environmental Services.

Inspects, repairs, installs, and maintains electrical systems, machinery, and equipment. Uses a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment. Has at least two years of journeyman level electrical experience. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Performs routine and moderately complex maintenance and repairs on all building internal electrical systems, equipment, and controls to include 120V internal building power distribution systems, fluorescent, LED, and specialty lighting systems, service panels, feeders, branch circuits and specialized electrical systems such as lighting controls, generators, emergency and standby power systems, fire alarms, motor controls, air conditioning, heating equipment, fans, and pumps.

Performs routine and moderately complex maintenance and repairs on all external building electrical power supply systems and controls, to include building electrical service feeders and associated electrical service panels, breakers, disconnects, and switches.

May be required to serve in an on‑call status and remain work‑ready when scheduled for an on‑call period or rotation.

High School diploma or GED from a recognized State or Federal accredited organization with four years experience; Experience in installation, repair and operation of a wide array of common electrical and lighting system components.

Knowledge of National Electrical Code

Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases

Excellent interpersonal, customer service, written and verbal communication skills

Shift / Salary / Benefits

Shift: The regular working hours for this position are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday and must work mandatory overtime which can include holidays, weekends, and after regular working hours.
