Production Welder- Manufacturing

What you will do You will be responsible for the local delivery and execution of core welding to vendors and managers in accordance with Johnson Controls principles, corporate policies and procedures, and plant operations. You will perform a variety of employment related functions for the ultimate purpose of enhancing employee engagement, safety and health, productivity and ensuring employee compliance with Company policies in a manufacturing facility.

How you will do it Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications.

Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as GMAW, TIG, Plasma Cutter.

Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.

Conduct Technical Inspections.

assign tasks and projects.

Ensure accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects.

What we look for The use of various hand tools, machinery and equipment will be required to manufacture metal Standard blueprint knowledge This position will work with Supervisors and Lead Hands to ensure continuous improvements in work cells, hitting quotas, welding according to pre-set parameters using GMAW and TIG welding processes. The Welder will be required to have strong knowledge and skill in operating all metalworking machinery. Additionally, the Welder will be required to read and understand production drawings, blueprints, work orders and other written instructions.

Preferred High School Diploma, GED or certifications

Tig welding experience.

Use of cutting tools (plasma experience preferred)

Oxy acetylene cutting experience

Experience with routine maintenance operations.

Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in diverse working environments.
