Job Overview Claims Examiner Tokio Marine HCC – Surety Group, a member of the Tokio Marine Group of Companies, has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Claims Examiner position on-site at our office in Los Angeles, California.

Responsibilities The primary responsibilities of the Associate Claims Examiner are to objectively investigate and analyze surety bond claims.

Performance Objectives and Timeline During the first 30 days: understand surety bonds, claims concepts, and terminology.

Learn how to effectively evaluate straightforward surety bond claims.

With a customer‑service mindset, be responsible for your own caseload—investigate, analyze, and effectively communicate written determinations of claims.

Strengthen your analytical, oral, and written communication skills to handle more intricate and complex claims.

Customer‑service mindset – consistently courteous.

Quick to understand technical information and legal jargon.

Excellent writing skills.

Teamwork, planning, and organizational skills.

Facility with using multiple systems, programs, and tracking information.

Compensation For candidates working in person or remotely in Los Angeles, the reasonable pay range for this specific position is $29.44 to $40.46 per hour.
