Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours bi-weekly (36 hours/week)

Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Required Experience
Minimum 2 years of RN experience
Neuro Med-Surg/Telemetry experience required
Experience caring for:
Stroke patients
Seizure patients
Post-operative neurosurgical patients
Trauma patients
DKA patients
Renal failure patients
General post-operative patients

Required Certifications
Active Indiana RN License

BLS

ACLS

NIHSS

Required Skills
Advanced neuro assessments
Critical thinking and clinical judgment
Drain management
Post-surgical patient care
Chest tube management
Groin site management following Interventional Radiology procedures
Telemetry monitoring experience
Unit Information
Specialty: Neuro Med-Surg/Telemetry
Number of Beds: 24
Patient Ratio: 5:1 to 6:1
Patient Population
Higher-acuity Med-Surg and Telemetry patients, including:
Stroke
Seizures
Post-op neuro surgeries
Level II trauma patients
Level I trauma patients transitioning from ICU
Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA)
Renal failure
General post-operative care

EMR
