After gaining knowledge of our environment, there is the opportunity for this position to work under our Hybrid schedule working both in the office and remotely.

We're looking for a talented Graphic Designer who can take concepts and ideas and create visual representations, in both print and electronic media. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of current design software and be skilled in every step of the design process, from concept to final deliverable. Collaborating with multiple teams across the company, the Graphic Designer will take written or spoken ideas and convert them into a design that connects and supports AFL’s business objectives and brand position in the B-to-B telecommunications industry.

Collaborate, brainstorm and strategize with multiple teams or clients on a wide range of materials that may include advertising, presentations, sales collateral, tradeshow graphics, signage, internal communications, newsletters and marketing materials.

Thinking creatively and developing new design concepts, graphics and layouts and translating strategic direction into high-quality design within an established brand identity.

Stay current on industry trends, software updates, and new design techniques, incorporating new knowledge into design projects as appropriate.

Expand “general web design” to include UI/UX design experience

Personal Qualities

Minimum 3 years experience in a professional graphic design position

Bachelor’s degree in communication, design, advertising or related experience

Strong design principles

Strong proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Knowledge in file preparation for print and digital media

General photography/video skills

General web design skills
