Mechanical Engineering - Contractor

Create and implement practical engineering solutions that drive process efficiency and reliability.

Define project boundaries and coordinate the selection or procurement of materials, components, and services needed for execution.

Serve as a technical resource for operations and maintenance teams, assisting with diagnostics and system‑level problem solving.

Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering groups on complex or capital‑intensive initiatives.

Analyze, refine, and enhance manufacturing and maintenance practices to improve uptime and performance.

Support maintenance personnel during equipment failures or performance deviations through hands‑on troubleshooting.

Coordinate and oversee external vendors or contractors to ensure timely and compliant project delivery.

Track project costs, timelines, and milestones; maintain accurate records and provide routine status updates to leadership regarding progress, risks, and schedule or cost impacts.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent hands‑on experience gained in an engineering or technical support role.

Minimum of 2 years of relevant engineering experience, or 5+ years of applicable experience in lieu of a formal degree.

Demonstrated proficiency with modern computer‑based tools and technical platforms.

Strong on‑site experience with a practical, hands‑on mindset focused on troubleshooting and implementation.

Working knowledge of engineering and design tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and electrical or circuit design software.

Experience designing or supporting systems involving mechanical assemblies, electrical components, pneumatics, and hydraulics.

Familiarity with industry standards related to safety, compliance, and quality systems, and the ability to apply them in real‑world environments.
