Estimator - Flooring Installation Contractor [Remote]

Trueline is seeking an Estimator to join their team with a well-established commercial flooring contractor serving clients across the United States. This is an outstanding opportunity for an organized, detail-oriented construction professional to work alongside an experienced estimator before retirement, gaining valuable mentorship while building a long-term career with a growing organization.

What You'll Do as the Estimator:

Review plans, specifications, bid documents, and project requirements

Perform accurate quantity takeoffs using AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or similar software

Prepare detailed project estimates and written proposals

Create color-coded shop drawings for installation teams

Coordinate RFIs, ASIs, and bid clarifications with general contractors and project teams

Source and negotiate material pricing while accounting for lead times and project schedules

Track project specifications, value engineering opportunities, and scope changes

Participate in scope review and pre-bid meetings

Ensure a smooth handoff of awarded projects to the Project Management team

Identify opportunities to improve estimating processes and documentation

Build strong relationships with general contractors, vendors, and clients throughout the bidding process

Must-Haves as the Estimator:

• 3-5+ years of construction estimating experience
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Experience performing quantity takeoffs and developing accurate cost estimates
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
• Comfortable managing multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Valid driver's license

Nice-to-Haves as the Estimator:

Commercial flooring estimating experience

Hospitality construction experience

Experience working with general contractors

AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or similar construction software

Experience with Monday.com or FloorRight

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field

This Position Offers:

Base salary of $80,000-$95,000 based on experience
