Registered Respiratory Therapist - Night Shift
Schedule
This position operates on a night schedule of 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30.
Job Description
The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients. The candidate must have a strong background in adult critical care and emergency department practices, as well as experience with various respiratory procedures and equipment.
Responsibilities
Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures.
Assist with intubation and extubation processes.
Provide tracheostomy care and management.
Manage mechanical ventilation and perform weaning protocols.
Conduct sputum specimen collection and airway suctioning.
Troubleshoot and address high-pressure alarms.
Document patient care accurately using electronic medical records.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Must have at least 2 years of recent experience as an RRT.
Current New York State Respiratory Therapy license is required.
Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) are mandatory.
