The Lead tech is an expert resource for sonographers, students, and physicians. Troubleshoot equipment issues and IT concerns. Assist with scanning and measurements. Help with staff interviews and coordinate shadow experiences. Gather necessary data and submit ICAEL accreditation survey for renewal periods. Education, Training, Experience, Certification and Licensure:

5 years' experience performing echocardiography and vascular imaging preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required, AAS or BS preferred. Graduate of formal cardiac sonography training program required. Strong knowledge of ultrasound techniques, principles and procedures. Competence with equipment required. Special Equipment, Skills or Other Requirements:

Skills with imaging equipment (projectors, cine processors), digital imaging and associated QC testing equipment needed. Ability to learn biomedical electronic, radiologic imaging, computer data entry, and hemodynamic monitoring skills.

Office/Clinical setting. Chemical hazards-works with film processing chemicals (See Materials Safety Data Sheets). Radiation exposure when testing equipment.
