Pediatric IV Therapy Registered Nurse

The position requires experience in ultrasound-guided IV placement techniques. Candidates should have a background in a pediatric vascular access team. They must be capable of performing quick and efficient IV insertions. Monitoring IVs and making recommendations on the type of IVs to be used is essential. Familiarity with policies and procedures is expected. Experience with specialized ultrasound for the majority of IV insertions is required. Candidates should be able to assess site and vessel selection and evaluate patency. This role involves working with patients who have veins that are difficult to locate. The ability to troubleshoot vascular access issues is necessary. Flexible scheduling is required with weekend shifts included. Professional references must be verified from previous employers.
