Registered Nurse RN PCU Telemetry Night Shift

Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit Schedule: Nights - 3 x 12-hour shifts; weekdays with occasional weekends and rotating holidays

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required

Travel nursing experience preferred

Certifications: ACLS/BCLS required

RN license: valid compact or state license required at the time of submission

Charting System: Epic required

Core Clinical Skills:

Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation

IV starts and maintaining IVs; peripheral line, PICC, and central line care

Care in PCU/stepdown settings

Familiarity with post-transplant and post-procedure care (e.g., biopsy/paracentesis)

References: 2 professional references required; at least 1 must be a manager/director or formal supervisor

Roles & Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care in a progressive care unit setting.

Monitor and interpret telemetry data to assess patient status.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.

Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and care plans.

Document patient assessments and responses in the electronic medical records system.

Compliance / Notes:

Must be willing to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity within the organization as needed.

Strict fingerprinting/credentialing deadline; fingerprinting must be completed urgently.

Candidates outside the state may be required to travel for fingerprinting or complete a mailed packet urgently.

Current employees at the facility are ineligible; former employees eligible after 6 months.
