Beer & Wine Bar Server

As a Server – Beer and Wine, you will guide guests to order food and beverages, enhance the movie‑going experience, greet guests, make menu suggestions, and deliver timely service at the counter. You will also act as a liaison between guests and kitchen staff, and may be asked to cross‑train in other positions as needed.

Responsibilities Greet guests with a smile in a timely and professional manner

Possess full knowledge of bar and menu items in a fast‑paced environment to enhance the guest experience

Accurately record food and beverage orders from guests in a timely manner

Handle all transactions at the assigned register, ensuring proper cash balance, correct ticket or inventory distribution, accurate log‑off, and reporting any concerns to a manager

Verify identification to confirm guests are at least 21 years of age for all alcohol transactions

Ensure alcohol is consumed only in designated areas

Consistently use suggestive selling techniques

Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure food orders are accurate

Consistently wipe down and sanitize high‑contact employee and guest areas

Properly utilize personal protective equipment while completing position‑specific tasks

Adapt to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks

Monitor safety and security issues (trip hazards, lighting, suspicious persons, etc.) and report to management

Perform other work‑related duties as assigned

Requirements Proof of age (must be 18; in some states 21) for those serving, pouring, or mixing alcoholic beverages

Complete basic food handling training and obtain any required local or state certification, health card, or food handlers permit

Complete a Safe Alcohol Service training program

Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Regular and consistent attendance

Energetic and friendly attitude during each shift

Excellent guest service and accurate cash handling skills

Strong interpersonal skills, effective verbal and written communication with all ages, genders, and personalities

Ability to converse in and comprehend English

Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Responsive to direction and able to follow it promptly

Sense of urgency in handling tasks

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.; frequent standing, walking, and reaching around the theater; moderate to high noise levels at times; ability to work standing for extended periods.
