Engineering Manager – Job Overview

The Engineering Manager at Applied Concepts is responsible for the planning and implementation of the product development process for the creation of electronic products using RADAR, LIDAR and traffic calming technologies. This includes managing the resources, equipment, defining goals, setting priorities, and ensuring the methods used are adequate for the goals of the development objectives. The position requires knowledge of working with the manufacturing of electronic products and the ability to work directly with manufacturing organizations in the resolution of manufacturing issues. We are looking for someone that enjoys taking products from concept to customer satisfaction.

Define project timelines, milestones, and sprints.

Develop and implement engineering policies, standards, and procedures.

Provide technical guidance to engineering teams and executive leadership to drive product delivery.

Monitor system and equipment reliability and performance; Evaluate and define current and future product lines by reviewing specifications, requirements, and new product or packaging ideas.

Present project plans and implement strategies to improve cost efficiency.

Collaborate with management, production, and marketing to determine project requirements and procedures.

Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams involving aspects of electronics design, mechanical engineering, and software development.

Proven ability to create and manage processes along with a good understanding of agile methodologies.

Excellent project management skills, including strong attention to detail and managing resources.

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or another technical field, with 8+ years of experience in the field of engineering.
