Design Drafter - Hybrid Schedule Available

We are seeking an experienced Design Drafter for a temporary contract opportunity in Hanover, MD, with a hybrid work schedule available. This role is ideal for a skilled CAD professional with expertise in SolidWorks , mechanical design, and manufacturing documentation who thrives in a collaborative engineering environment.

Create and maintain detailed 3D models, assemblies, drawings, and engineering documentation using SolidWorks .

Develop designs utilizing SolidWorks Routing, Sheet Metal, and Weldment modules.

Collaborate with engineers, managers, vendors, and customers to resolve technical design challenges.

Support product development, fabrication, machining, welding, and production processes.

Manage design files and product data using PDM systems.

7-10 years of CAD design and drafting experience.

• Associate degree in Drafting, Design, Engineering Technology, or related field; Formal training and advanced proficiency with Dassault Systemes SolidWorks .
• Experience with mechanical design, CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, and welding processes.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to obtain a future security clearance.
• SolidWorks Advanced Parts and Advanced Assemblies certifications preferred.
