Systems AnalystAre you a "systems thinker" with systems engineering experience who wants to have impact on nationally important defense programs?Do you want a key system engineering/analyst role that helps APL revolutionize the art of defense by applying your talents to address the difficult challenges facing our warfighters such as Operationalizing Artificial Intelligence to support Achieving Robust Homeland and Theater Defenses, Accelerating Warfighting Capabilities in INDOPACOM, or Enabling Space Superiority?Do you want to help transform Decision Dominance for the U.S. Military challenges?Would you like to contribute to the rapid exploration, development, detailed analysis, and transition of mission planning capabilities to U.S. warfighters?In A5C, we develop and deploy advanced planning capabilities and solutions directly into the hands of the warfighter, empowering them to design dominant defenses for maximum performance across multiple simultaneous multiple missions, multiple services, and multiple command echelon planning levels and domains.We are seeking an enthusiastic team member with software engineering experience willing to take on exciting assignments and willing to learn about the complexity of military systems.As a Systems Analyst...Your primary responsibility will be conducting system engineering activities and system analytical efforts related to military mission planning.You will provide systems engineering thought leadership and talents focusing on requirements analysis and capability development for planning, battle management aid, and coordination systems and tools.You will participate in requirements and design reviews and requirements reviews to ensure sponsor direction is established and assess prime contractor compliance with sponsor directions.You will provide domain know-how for military test events and real-world operational scenarios by conducting research, studies, and analysis to provide supporting data and associated recommendations for the Missile Defense Agency and Navy decision-makers.You will develop and deliver presentations to sponsors and collaborators that effectively communicate proposed solutions and analysis.You will author reports that bring together system definitions, requirements, analysis, and technical recommendations.QualificationsPossess a bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, or equivalent academic backgrounds.Have two or more years of experience in systems engineering work, data analysis activities, and/or requirements development/analysis.Have shown success working in a multi-disciplinary team.Have programming experience with MATLAB or Python.Have demonstrated success in working in an engineering team of 3 or more people.Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication.Exercise excellent critical thinking.Have technical expertise in the design/analysis/operation of military systems.Hold an active Final Secret security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information.
