⚡ Electrical Design Engineer — Building Systems
Location: Charlotte, NC | Full-Time | Hybrid
Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer passionate about designing high-performance building systems? Join a growing, collaborative team in Charlotte, NC where you’ll play a key role in delivering innovative projects from concept through construction close-out .
This is a great opportunity to work on diverse projects while advancing your technical expertise and progressing toward PE licensure .
What You’ll Do
- Design and coordinate electrical systems, including:
- Power distribution
- Lighting systems
- Fire alarm systems
- Low voltage infrastructure
- Emergency power and UPS systems
- Coordinate utility services with local providers
- Ensure designs meet city and state permitting requirements
- Participate in construction administration , including site visits and inspections
- Collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams in meetings and presentations
- Support projects through all phases—from schematic design to construction close-out
What You Bring
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 6+ years of experience designing electrical systems for the built environment
- Proven ability to lead projects from design through final construction
Certifications
- E.I.T. preferred
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of building and energy codes
- Experience with Revit (preferred)
