Personal Financial Planner

Our firm is rapidly expanding and we are currently looking for a new financial advisor to join our entry-level ranks. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn the financial services ropes needed for effective wealth management to help our clients achieve their monetary goals. Responsibilities Gather and assess each client’s financial information to accurately determine factors including financial status, cash flow, monetary expectations, financial goals, retirement plans, and additional factors related to wealth management Support clients’ progress toward their financial goals through strategic product, plan, and investment recommendations Create customized financial plans for each client based on his or her life stage, professional circumstances, and fluctuating financial needs Serve as a trusted advisor for new clients acquired through proactive measures to seek, identify, and establish prospects Serve as a collaborative team player willing to further development through continued training opportunities Network with and qualify prospective clients and explain the features and merits of insurance, investments, and other planning needs Develop investment portfolios, disability, life insurance, and long-term life strategies, high-level professional sales presentations, and client acquisitions Anticipate future needs of all clients and work with senior-level advisors to call on established clients to renew and upgrade accounts Develop long-term relationships with clients and underwriters Assist clients with concerns and service issues as needed Reach agreed-upon sales targets monthly Qualifications Though not required, a valid FINRA Series 7 & 63/66 license is considered a plus Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, financial planning software, Google Suite, and other tools strongly preferred Superior communication, relationship building, and math skills to establish a strong foundation of customer service for all clients Basic understanding of the role of a financial advisor or financial consultant, and an interest in the financial industry and financial products is necessary Requires a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or other related field Interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills Driven, motivated, and coachable Be willing to help others New York Life will pay and cover all expenses for training and the exam Sales experience: 1 year preferred Compensation: $120,000 Compensation $120,000 per year #J-18808-Ljbffr New York Life - Uniondale
