Medical AssistantThe Medical Assistant (MA) provides direct patient care to assigned patients to Women's Health. The MA works under the direct supervision of the clinic nurse(s) by assisting in the examination and treatment of patients. Prepares treatment rooms for examination. Assists with medical procedures and examinations Conducts patient interviews, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and phlebotomy. Performs EKG's, dressing changes. Administers approved medications. Researches and scribes physicians'. Orders/accession orders for clinical laboratory or appropriate processing center.
