Construction Laborer

Responsibilities Prepare construction sites by clearing obstacles and debris Load and upload construction materials and equipment Operate various hand and power tools, including jackhammers and earth tampers Install traffic barricades, cones and safety markers Dig trenches and assist with earth moving tasks Help other skilled workers (equipment operators) Mix and spread concrete, asphalt and other construction materials Work environment: highways, roadways, infrastructure projects, residential and commercial road development areas Maintain a clean and safe work environment Follow all company policies per Employee Handbook & Code of Conduct Follow all company safety guidelines Performs other job-related duties as assigned Qualifications & Requirements Professional attitude and conduct Ability to multi-task, communicate effectively, problem-solve and manage time High degree of safety awareness and safety discipline Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors and the general public at all times Willing to travel and work away from home when required Willing to work nights and weekends when necessary Adhere strictly to safety requirements and the policies and procedures in the Employee Handbook Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by Pittman Construction Safety and OSHA Be at least 18 years of age Be flexible to the needs of the business to meet customer needs Random and Suspicion Drug tests are performed Must successfully complete a drug screen and background check to be hired Work Environment & Compliance The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
