Job Description
Pediatric Med-Surg / Hematology-Oncology RN Travel Assignment

Schedule:
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 18:45-07:15
- Weekend requirement: every other weekend

Assignment Details:
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years pediatric nursing experience required
- Required certifications: BCLS (BLS), PALS
- Clinical skill: Ability to administer chemotherapy
- Preferred: Chemo certification/experience; IV starts and lab draws

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to pediatric patients in medical-surgical and hematology/oncology settings.
- Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in health status.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans and care procedures.

Compliance / Notes:
- Orientation: 24 hours of unit orientation; hospital orientation includes required classes during the first week.
- Up to 7 days of RTO auto-approved (no holidays); no RTO during the first week; all RTO must be pre-approved; working 2 of 3 major holidays is required.
- Scrubs: Not provided - facility requires fun/kid tops and navy pants.
