Business Data Analyst

Role Responsibilities: (what they will be doing) Applies knowledge of best practices derived from experience and external networking to solve a range of complex technical and operational problems. Takes a new perspective on existing solutions to solve complex problems. Exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information. Leads small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements; plays significant roles in larger, more complex initiatives. Impacts a range of client, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams. Works independently and receives minimal guidance. Must Have Skills/Prior Experiences: (Vendor should not submit any candidate that does not have these skills/prior experience.) In-depth knowledge of principles, practices, theories, and/or methodologies associated with the professional discipline (e.g., information technology, project management, finance, risk management, etc.). Focus on process automation to improve efficiency. Understands foundational concepts of other related professional disciplines. Experience managing small-mid size projects with some complexity. Ability to interpret and explain complex information to a range of audiences and build consensus among different stakeholders. Plus/Nice to Have Skills/Prior Experiences: (Hiring Manager DOES NOT require these skills/ prior experience. However candidates with any of these will be looked at first.) Experience working with modern cloud-based data and analytics platforms, such as AWS and Snowflake, to support scalable reporting and insight generation. Experience working with HR data, including applying data standards, business rules, and analytics to support workforce insights and decision-making. Experience using programming languages such as Python or R to support data analysis, automation, or advanced analytical problem-solving.
