A bit about us: We are hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist for a well‑known New Mexico construction and services company. This is a hands‑on AP role supporting a busy accounting team and reporting directly to the Controller. The right fit will have solid accounts payable experience, be comfortable managing invoice volume, and enjoy working as part of a collaborative accounting team. Construction or job‑costing experience is helpful, but strong AP experience is the priority. Why join us? Competitive hourly pay, $25-$27/hour Full‑time opportunity with a New Mexico company that has been operating for more than 25 years Work directly with the Controller Stable accounting team environment Exposure to construction and job‑cost accounting Variety of projects ranging from commercial work to highway construction Company with more than 200 employees and approximately $45M in annual business Team‑oriented environment with no degree required Job Details Process approximately 100 vendor invoices per week Review invoices for accuracy, coding and appropriate approvals Enter and maintain AP transactions in QuickBooks Online Code expenses to the appropriate accounts, jobs and cost categories Assist with vendor account maintenance and resolve invoice discrepancies Reconcile vendor statements and research outstanding items Maintain organized AP documentation and supporting records Communicate with vendors and internal team members regarding invoices and paymentsSupport the Controller and accounting team with additional AP and accounting needs What We're Looking For Prior accounts payable experience Experience processing invoices in a fast‑paced environment QuickBooks Online experience Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to stay organized while managing multiple invoices and priorities Comfortable communicating with vendors and internal departments Construction accounting or job‑costing experience is a plus No specific degree or certification required Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
