Role Description The Assistant Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at the Sunglass Hut store in Kennewick, WA. In this role, the Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager in driving sales performance, delivering exceptional customer service, and maintaining visual merchandising standards. Daily responsibilities include coaching and guiding team members, assisting with scheduling and staffing, and ensuring operational tasks such as inventory management, cash handling, and store opening/closing procedures are completed accurately. The Assistant Manager helps resolve customer inquiries, promotes current campaigns and product features, and contributes to a welcoming, inclusive store atmosphere. This role also involves monitoring key performance indicators, providing feedback to improve results, and upholding all company policies and brand standards. Qualifications Demonstrated retail or customer service experience, with skills in sales, client engagement, and building long-term customer relationships. Supervisory or leadership capabilities, including team coaching, performance feedback, and support with scheduling and daily task delegation. Operational skills such as cash handling, point-of-sale systems, inventory control, and adherence to store procedures and loss prevention standards. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on inclusivity, professionalism, and collaborative problem-solving. Ability to work a flexible full-time schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, in an on-site retail environment. Interest in fashion, accessories, or eyewear, with a willingness to learn product features and translate them into customer benefits. Proficiency in basic computer applications and comfort using digital tools to support store operations and reporting.
