DRC is currently seeking the right individual to fill a need for a Showroom Sales Associate in our San Diego showroom. Our team works collaboratively with a shared focus on delivering the highest level of service in all interactions with clients, vendors, and internal team members. Your enthusiasm for exceeding client expectations will be key to your success in this role.

Core Experience Requirements

• 3+ years of sales experience preferred, ideally in luxury interiors, furnishings, design trade, or relationship-based sales
• Experience working with interior designers, architects, builders, or other design professionals strongly preferred
• Proven ability to build, maintain, and grow long-term client relationships and accounts
• Experience managing multiple projects, deadlines, client requests, quoting, order management, and follow-through from sale to completion
• Strong understanding of customer service and delivering high-touch client experience
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment

Sales & Business Development Skills

• Strong sales instincts with the ability to identify opportunities, pursue leads, and grow business
• Ability to confidently present products, collections, and solutions to designers and clients
• Comfortable networking, consistently following up, handling objections, negotiating professionally, and maintaining client engagement
• Self-motivated, proactive, and accountable for sales performance and relationship-building
• Strong problem-solving and solution-oriented mindset

Communication & Professionalism

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Professional, polished, approachable, and personable presence
• High emotional intelligence with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients, vendors, and internal team members

Operational & Organizational Requirements

• Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
• Strong follow-through, accountability, and ability to manage competing deadlines
• Comfortable learning and using internal systems, CRM platforms, vendor portals, and related software
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and remain calm and solution-focused under pressure

Industry Knowledge Preferred

• Knowledge of luxury furniture, textiles, lighting, outdoor furnishings, or interior design industry products
• Familiarity with trade showroom environments and the interior design project process from specification through installation
• Existing relationships within the San Diego design community are a plus

• Experience in a multi-line showroom environment
• Existing book of business or industry contacts
• Experience with social media, networking events, or business development outreach
• Familiarity with Studio Designer, NetSuite, Salesforce, or similar systems

Job Requirements: Oral Communication, Written Communication, Math Aptitude, Organizational skills, Reading and Time Management, regularly lift 05-25lbs

Working hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00-5:00. Some overtime is required.

Physical Requirements: Responsibilities require frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, grasping, reading, and listening.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $25+ /hour DOE plus commission

Required education: High school or equivalent; Associate degree & design background a plus
