Job description:

Are you a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced Cafe & Market environment? Scott's Market Malibu, a local favorite, is situated in the landmark community, set in the middle of the famous Crosscreek Center in Central Malibu. We’re looking for a motivated and growth-oriented Hospitality Leader to oversee daily operations, support and develop team members, and ensure every guest has an exceptional experience. A leader who is a hands-on leader and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Your barista qualities, ordering, inventory, guest relations, and local genuine approach will be vital to this operation and will serve you well

About the Role

As our Leader, you will be responsible for managing employees, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, and handling all guest-related matters & property activities with professionalism and care. This role is perfect for someone who is eager to keep learning, grow, team builder and build a long-term career in hospitality leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and motivate restaurant staff to deliver excellent service
  • Train new employees and provide ongoing performance feedback
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented work culture
  • Manage scheduling and ensure proper staffing levels

Daily Operations Management

  • Oversee opening and closing procedures
  • Ensure efficient workflow during service
  • Monitor inventory, supplies, and ordering needs
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety standards
  • Ensure market space items and cafe is spotless, neat and tidy, and abundant

Guest Experience

  • Address and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally
  • Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction
  • Build positive relationships with guests and encourage repeat business

  • Previous restaurant or hospitality leadership experience preferred
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional, approachable, and guest-focused mindset
