Position: Infection Preventionist

We are seeking a dedicated Infection Preventionist to join our team at an acute care hospital located in City, State . The successful candidate will play a crucial role in infection prevention and control, contributing to the safety and wellbeing of patients and staff.

Shift Details

Shift Type: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 AM - 04:30 PM)
Schedule: Monday to Friday
No weekends or holidays required

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
Experience in infection prevention is mandatory, and the role will involve independent work
Degree in Public Health, Laboratory Sciences, Microbiology, or a related health science field is preferred but not required
CIC certification is required
EPIC experience is highly preferred

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement infection prevention policies and procedures
Monitor and analyze infection trends and collaborate with healthcare teams to address concerns
Educate staff on infection prevention practices
Conduct surveillance and reporting of healthcare-acquired infections
Maintain compliance with CDC guidelines, CMS regulations, and The Joint Commission standards
