Customer Service Specialist – Taxpayer Support Location: Tucson, AZ – Hybrid Pay: Up to $18/hour Contract: 1 year Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., 40 hours per week Hybrid Schedule: Three days onsite and two days remote, based on business needs Position Overview We are seeking a customer-focused professional to assist taxpayers with filing questions, account concerns, refunds, billing disputes, and Arizona tax policies and procedures. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills and is comfortable researching account issues and communicating through multiple service channels. Previous experience working in a tax office or tax-related environment is preferred. Key Responsibilities Assist taxpayers with filing, account questions, refunds, billing issues, and disputes. Explain applicable State of Arizona tax policies and procedures clearly and accurately. Research taxpayer accounts and complete necessary adjustments across multiple tax types. Provide taxpayer education and guidance while maintaining professional, courteous service. Respond to customers through live chat, phone, email, correspondence, and walk-in assistance. Document interactions accurately and escalate complex matters when necessary. Protect confidential taxpayer and account information. Qualifications Previous customer service experience required. Experience working in a tax office or with tax-related matters preferred. Basic computer, data-entry, and general office skills. Strong verbal and written communication abilities. Excellent attention to detail, research, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple systems and customer channels in a fast-paced environment.
