The Lead Engineer oversees the efficient, safe and responsible operation of all building systems and equipment while also leading the engineering team. You will oversee a building engineer at a 265,000 square foot Class A medical office building in South Jersey. Schedule : 8:30 am-4:30 pm (flexible) Monday through Friday on site, on-call rotation. Operate, maintain, and repair Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Electrical, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems to keep all facility and building systems performing to applicable standards Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems and associated equipment, including cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and replacing parts to maintain optimum performance levels Supervise and manage engineers and maintenance staff including hiring, training, coaching and personal development Create and routinely update a documented plan that includes preventive, predictive and reactive maintenance procedures Lead, create and manage engineering budget and participate in overall operating budget process Select, schedule, supervise and direct contractors; monitor and document performance Respond effectively to emergencies and service calls Lead and organize ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs and procedures Other duties as requested by property management team and/or client On-site presence required People management experience (leading a team)

• Ability to analyze the operation of various industrial Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems, determine the cause of problems or malfunctions, and take corrective action
• Trade school education, union training, military service or college education
• Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)
• Physical ability to bend, sit, kneel, squat, stand, reach, and lay as required to access equipment components for extended periods of time
• Strong customer service and communication skills
