Overseas Bilingual Housing Specialist - Guatemala City, Guatemala

VISTA Technology Services, Inc. (VISTA) is currently seeking a bilingual Housing Specialist to support U.S. diplomatic residential housing operations on a Department of State contract working overseas in Guatemala City, Guatemala. This position is contingent upon contract award. The ideal candidate will be able to successfully source properties, and be responsible for lease negotiations, landlord engagements, inspection coordination, and ongoing housing management services. Responsibilities: Identify suitable rental properties that meet client requirements Negotiate lease terms and coordinate lease execution Manage VAT-related documentation and invoice support Coordinate property inspections and required remediation activities Serve as the primary local interface with landlords, brokers, and service providers Monitor maintenance requests and track issue resolution Support lease renewals, extensions, and terminations Maintain confidentiality of resident and property information Basic Qualifications: Professional fluency in Spanish and English Experience managing residential leases in Guatemala Strong understanding of local real estate practices and legal requirements Excellent organizational and customer service skills Ability to work effectively with government and international clients Desired Qualifications: Licensed Real Estate Agent, Property Manager, or equivalent credential Experience supporting embassy, diplomatic, expatriate, relocation, or corporate housing programs Familiarity with furnished housing, lease administration, and vendor management Experience coordinating property inspections, maintenance activities, and landlord negotiations Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional customer service standards Salary at VISTA is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements.
