Credit Analyst Sr

Role Overview As a Senior Credit Analyst, you provide the initial analysis of every commercial loan for UMB. The Credit Analysis team works on different types of loans and sizes across all markets and verticals. In this role, you will work with Loan Officers to review new loan information for approval, attend loan committee meetings, participate in a credit rotation program, and interface with senior management. Responsibilities Initial analysis of every commercial loan for approval. Work with Loan Officers to review new loan information. Attend loan committee meetings and participate in a credit rotation program. Interface with senior management. Spread and analyze information regarding various companies’ credit standing to achieve loan approval. Analyze relationships with UMB to gain a holistic view of overall financial health. Produce formal credit write‑ups summarizing credit standing for approval. Work on more complex loan write‑ups. Assist in training Credit Analysts and other associates who rotate through the Credit Department. Present loan proposals to the Discount Committee on a rotating basis to assist during peak times. Produce reports for senior management, including the Board Report. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or a related area. Minimum of 2 years of Credit Department or other loan‑related experience, or equivalent work experience. Completion of 6 hours of Accounting at a collegiate level. Preferred experience in underwriting middle market, franchise, leveraged lending, and/or national companies.
