Postdoc: Dopamine & Executive Function in Parkinson's

The George Washington University Department of Pharmacology & Physiologyis an active research department with federally funded programs in neuroscienceand development, cardiovascular pharmacology and integrative physiology,genomics, and oncology. It offers unique pre- and postdoctoral biomedicalresearch training, teaches Pharmacology and Physiology to Medical and PhysicianAssistant students, and provides graduate courses through the GW Institute forBiomedical Sciences. The Postdoctoral researcher will lead a project focusing on dopaminergicmechanisms of executive dysfunction in Parkinson's disease. They will plan andperform experiments to advance this project, analyze and interpret data, mentorundergraduate and graduate students, write grants and fellowship proposals andprepare manuscripts for publication. Minimum Qualifications Applicants must have fulfilled all requirements for the award of a PhD orequivalent qualification in a relevant field by the date of employment. Desired Qualifications PhD in Neuroscience or a related field Strong oral and written communication skills, and ability to work with ateam.
