Job DescriptionJob DescriptionLamar National Bank is seeking a dynamic, experienced Branch Manager to join and lead its Frisco branch!Summary:The Branch Manager plans, directs, and organizes the sales and daily operational activities of assigned Branch to include new accounts, cashiering, and customer needs by following established procedures; maintains communication between Branch and Senior Management; accountable for all activities and performance of Branch, and exemplifies and encourages the Bank’s Vision by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Duties and Responsibilities include the following:·

Manages a single branch with varying amounts of deposits.·

Manages day-to-day operational execution and sales strategy within a small sales force.·

Occasional contribution to broader planning with an area of expertise.·

Manages all functions and has ultimate responsibility for achievement of any goals, operational activities, and staff of branch.·

Develops new outside business; oversees and ensures sales of new and existing business inside the branch and promotes new sales generation outside the branch.·

Ensures quality levels of customer service.·

Ensures and oversees development and training of staff, providing effective and motivating coaching and training to the team in areas such as career development, sales skills, and service experience.·

Oversees administration of all personnel issues.·

Ensures the protection of all bank’s assets through compliance with operational audit procedures.·

Operates within annual budget for bank and branch.·

Develops and manages branch business plan as necessary in conjunction with Chief Retail Officer.·

Responsible for product education with the staff of the branch.·

Maintains and develops relationships with existing customers and refers other lines of business within the bank.·

Provides leadership, mentoring and coaching to branch staff.·

Evaluates staff work performance by completing reviews, celebration of successes and coaching on less than exceptional performance.·

Serves as a liaison between branch and Senior Management by reporting on operations and productivity of the branch.·

Collaborates with HR and Chief Retail Officer in decision making process regarding hiring, promotions, suspensions and/or terminations.·

Assists in the execution of new products or programs to provide better service to customers and promote new growth.·

May perform duties of Assistant Branch Manager, Universal Banker or Teller.·

Completes annual compliance training as assigned and within the required time frame.·

Perform required community service hours annually.·

Other tasks given by manager/supervisor. Supervisory ResponsibilitiesManages one to two subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of one to five employees in the Retail staff.

Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.

Also directly supervises one to ten non-supervisory employees.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the bank’s policies and laws.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Education and/or Experience – Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university preferred, high school diploma or general education degree required (GED); minimum of 3 years banking experience required with 2 years management preferred; 1-year sales or business development experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Internal: 2 years’ experience with the Bank Computer Skills – To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the Internet, Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel.

Ability to use basic office machines. Ability to learn bank-specific software. Bank Culture/Customer Service Skills – Promotes the Bank’s culture, including the support of our Vision. Ability to interact and communicate appropriately with other employees, customers, and supervisor. Ability to serve customers, both internal and external, in a manner that will reflect outstanding customer service. Other Skills – Individual must be flexible and able to travel to other branches to fill staffing needs with or without notice; Individual should have working knowledge of all aspects of the Teller, Universal Banker, and Assistant Manager positions. Physical Demands – While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly required to use hands to touch, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit.

The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
