Occupational Therapist School Setting in Milford, DE

Job Description

Make an immediate impact supporting students with varying needs as a licensed Occupational Therapist in a dynamic school-based contract role. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to work with a diverse caseload of 35-40 students with severe disabilities across a range of grade levels. The assignment runs through June 11, 2027, providing stability and the chance to become a valued presence within the community.

Key Qualifications:

Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license (no COTAs)
Demonstrated experience providing therapy in school settings
Previous work supporting students with autism and behavioral challenges strongly preferred
Proficient in writing and reviewing IEPs, conducting evaluations, and progress monitoring
Reliable transportation and ability to commute to designated location
Ability to pass a drug screen, fingerprinting, and background check
Professional, dependable, and able to proactively communicate any absences or scheduling needs

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver targeted therapy sessions and interventions in coordination with student IEPs
Collect and analyze data to monitor student progress
Maintain thorough documentation and timely completion of therapy notes, evaluations, and summaries
Write new IEPs, review those written by COTAs, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
Collaborate closely with educators, administrators, and other related service providers
Foster a supportive, inclusive, and positive environment for all students
