Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room provides high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population, ensuring rapid assessment and intervention in a busy, high-acuity setting. The RN collaborates with healthcare teams to deliver exemplary patient outcomes and maintains compliance with clinical standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions promptly upon arrival and prioritize care based on acuity levels.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in patient status effectively.
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, infection control, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license for the state or a compact license.
• Possess at least 2 years of recent ER nursing experience, with prior travel experience preferred.
• Certifications required include BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Certification.
• Demonstrate strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume ER environment.
• Familiar with Epic and Pyxis systems.
