Part‑Time Registered Dietitian – Assisted Living Facilities Company: RD Nutrition Consultants LLC Overview: RD Nutrition Consultants LLC is seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Dietitian to provide nutrition consulting services for Assisted Living Facilities located throughout South and Central New Jersey. This is an excellent opportunity for a dietitian seeking flexible, low‑hour consulting work with the option to support one, two, or all three facilities, depending on your availability and preference. Each facility requires only 8 hours of on‑site coverage per quarter, making this an ideal opportunity to supplement an existing schedule. Facility Type: Assisted Living Facilities Location: South and Central New Jersey Schedule: Flexible Coverage Options – Choose to support 1, 2, or all 3 locations Hours: 8 hours per quarter, per location Work Arrangement: On‑site Compensation: $35.00–$42.00 per hour, based on experience Travel Time: Paid at your regular hourly rate in addition to your working hours Mileage Reimbursement: Provided in addition to paid travel time Key Responsibilities Review and approve menus for regular and therapeutic diets to ensure compliance with nutrition standards. Conduct periodic kitchen audits to assess food service operations, sanitation, and safety practices. Identify residents at nutritional risk and complete periodic nutrition assessments as needed.Collaborate with facility staff to provide recommendations that enhance meal quality and resident satisfaction. Maintain compliance with facility policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements. Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Qualifications Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (required). Current state licensure/certification, if applicable. Experience reviewing menus and conducting audits in assisted living or long‑term care settings preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Comfortable using electronic documentation and menu systems. Ability to maintain resident confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics at all times. Ability and willingness to travel to the selected facility location(s) on a quarterly basis.
