Job Title: Assembler/General Laborer Job Description
We are seeking dedicated assemblers/general laborers to join our rapidly growing team. You will be responsible for assembling wood boxes according to customer-prescribed specifications. This role involves working with some of the largest clients, providing steady work without layoffs.
Responsibilities

• Assemble wood boxes as per customer specifications.
• Utilize power tools, hand tools, and a tape measure accurately.
• Operate pneumatic nail guns weighing between 2-14 pounds.
• Follow written and verbal instructions effectively.
• Complete productivity sheets and shipping tags legibly.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in reading a tape measure.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting approximately 40 pounds.
• Experience with power tools and pneumatic nail guns.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Band Cutter and Bander tools.
• Ability to work efficiently in a team setting.

Work Environment
Our clean shop provides a lively atmosphere with music, though it may be noisy due to cutters, saws, and nail guns. The work is physical but not overly demanding. Choose between the 1st shift from Monday to Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm, or the 2nd shift from Monday to Thursday, 2:30 pm - 1:00 am, with occasional overtime available.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Coal Valley, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.50/hr.
