Key Responsibilities 

• Provide chairside assistance during a wide range of dental procedures 
• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain OSHA and infection control standards 
• Capture high-quality digital radiographs, intraoral photographs, and impressions or digital scans 
• Accurately document patient records and assist with clinical charting in the practice management system 
• Deliver an exceptional patient experience by ensuring comfort, clear communication, and efficient clinical flow 
• Prepare and turnover operatories efficiently between patients 
• Coordinate and track laboratory cases, communicating with dental labs as needed 
• Support same-day dentistry and digital workflows 
• Monitor clinical inventory and restock treatment rooms and supplies 
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional clinical environment 
• Collaborate effectively with the clinical and administrative teams to support daily operations 
• Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, and all applicable regulatory and safety protocols 

Required Qualifications 

• Massachusetts dental assistant certification 
• Current dental radiology certification 
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment 
• Excellent communication skills and a professional, positive attitude 
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering outstanding patient care 
• Willingness to learn and use advanced dental technology, including same day crowns, digital scanning, and CBCT 
• Proficiency with dental practice management software 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Current CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS) certification 
• Two or more years of dental assisting experience 
• Proficiency with digital dental technology, including intraoral scanning, digital imaging, and electronic clinical documentation 
• Experience with surgical procedures, orthodontics, and same-day crowns is a plus
