DescriptionThe Senior Manager, Insurance Services leads a team of Licensed Servicing Agents and Insurance Associates. This position oversees and manages the daily operations of the department and ensure that procedures and practices are in alignment with credit union expectations.Job Duties:Lead a team of high-performing and engaged employees through effective people leadership practices including regular communication of performance expectations and feedback to employees to maintain high team performance; provide coaching and corrective action as required; actively support employee professional growth and developmentConsistently analyze, measure, and track service agent performance through established metricsDevelops strategies to optimize policy retention and cross-sale of additional insurance productsFoster educational approach of insurance concepts within Insurance Services teamLead new agent training and oversee the onboarding process of new service agentsMeet established department goals (including annual policy retention); update leader on all major projects, employee issues and goal progress Develop, coordinate, maintain and enforce systems, policies, procedures and productivity standards in partnership with other business unitsRecognize and mitigate risk within departmentMaintain positive and constructive relationships with insurance carriers and vendorsEssential Skills: Minimum of 6 years’ experience in an independent Property & Casualty insurance agency with an emphasis on member focused sales and service functions; including a minimum of 2 years in a leadership roleProven track record as an insurance agent, preferably with an independent personal lines agencyExperience with First Tech’s major insurance carriers Ability to work autonomously to manage time effectively and prioritize work appropriately to meet deadlinesAbility to establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders Proven people management and development skills, adept at providing frequent and valuable performance feedback to develop and build employeesBroad knowledge of the laws and regulations regarding personal lines insurance productsFamiliarity with EZ LynxWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Certification/License: Active resident Property & Casualty required, and Life Insurance licenses preferredMinimum Education: High School Diploma; Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Business Administration or other related fields of study) is preferredLocation: Hillsboro Corporate Office - Hillsboro, OR 97124 (HYBRID) Target Compensation for Hillsboro, OR: $99,621 - $114,618 annually + monthly incentives Benefits options include:Traditional medical, dental, and vision coverage401K matching up to 5% per pay periodPaid Time Off: You’ll accrue up to 15 vacation days in your first year.
