Collections Job brief We are looking for a competent Collection Specialist to contact clients and collect outstanding payments. Person must strike a balance between maintaining trustful relationships and ensuring timely payments. Our Collection Specialist should exhibit professionalism and trustworthiness. Minimum Experience, Education and CertificationsGraduation in Commerce, MBA - Finance or equivalent combination of education in finance domainRequires 2-4 years relevant experienceTechnical Skill Solid knowledge of relevant accounting principles Solid data analysis skills Problem resolving skills and should be a team player ERP – SAP (preferred) Working knowledge of MS Office and databasesSoft Skills Knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniquesProven experienceas a Collection Specialist or similar roleComfortable working with targetsPatience and ability to manage stressExcellent communication skills (written and oral)Skilled in negotiation with clientsJob Responsibilities Monitoring accounts to identify overdue paymentsFinding and contacting customers to arrange debt payoffsKeeping accurate records and reporting on collection activityInvestigate historical data for each debt or invoiceTake actions to encourage timely debt payments and as per contractual termsProcess payments and refundsResolve billing and customer credit issuesReport on collection activity and accounts receivable statusEnsure all payments are timely and correctly applied.Should have exposure on DSO calculation.Sending weekly Statement of Account, open AR report and unapplied Payment report to the Management.Provide timely remittance to cash application team and support them to apply the payment timely and correctly.Physical Requirements/ Working Conditions Ability to physically perform general office requirements.Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations.Posting Date:Department:Accounts Receivable - NTT DATA
