Overview Kinyarwanda Interpreters Needed role at Affordable Language Services Location: Greater Portland area. This is independent contracting work to provide interpreting services to the community. Responsibilities Provide interpreting services as an independent contractor. Serve the community by assisting students in schools, patients in hospitals, and other settings as needed. Help break down language barriers and support multicultural communities in accessing services. Qualifications Fluently bilingual in English and Kinyarwanda. If you do not have proof of professional interpreter training, you will be required to pass a language test across English and Kinyarwanda. US I-9 work authorization. High school diploma or equivalent. Willing and able to provide a background check and drug test. Willing and able to provide MMR, Varicella, Covid, and Flu vaccination records if interested in medical interpreting. Willing and able to primarily attend in-person appointments. Professional training/experience preferred, but not required.
