Senior Accountant

Great Role at Growing Services Industry Organization Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 per year We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Accountant to join our dynamic and innovative finance team. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing a wide range of accounting and financial tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, account reconciliation, budgeting, forecasting, GAAP compliance, and Union Payroll. Responsibilities Oversee and manage all general ledger accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation. Ensure compliance with all GAAP regulations and maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of any changes to these regulations. Manage Union Payroll, including processing payments, maintaining records, and resolving any payroll‑related issues. Develop and maintain annual budgets, and conduct regular budget reviews to identify cost‑saving opportunities. Conduct financial forecasting to predict future revenue and expenditure trends and aid in financial planning. Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for senior management. Identify and resolve any discrepancies or irregularities in financial entries, documents, and reports. Collaborate with finance team members and other departments to improve financial processes and systems. Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus). Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the finance industry. Proven experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, GAAP, Union Payroll, account reconciliation, budgeting, and forecasting. Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and quality. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to make well‑judged decisions. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
