Logistics Coordinator

Coordinate and facilitate the delivery of shipments while working with various internal departments including; Accounting, Customer Service, Field Services, Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Production Control, Shipping, and Traffic to ensure that all sales orders are shipped on time and complete in accordance with their schedule ship date.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:Run weekly building, LTL, and door schedules. Enter data into weekly shipment schedulesUsing ERP system, print sales orders and picking tickets for distribution to production floorUsing ERP and TMS systems, Enter LTL information, quote LTL rates, Create bills of lading for all outbound shipmentsSupply labels for all LTL shipmentsSolicit for and maintain carrier rates for shipments on weekly shipment schedule.Schedule carriers for daily shipment pickupsCall customers to notify of shipmentField phone calls regarding shipment of materials, tracking shipments, etc.Compile information and create reports as neededPrepare paperwork for importing/exportingScan documents using DocuWareRelay paperwork and order changes to the shipping floorPost/Ship orders in ERP systemGreet truck drivers as they arriveAssist with projects as neededWork with carriers to address questions and resolve issues such as freight claims or delaysCoordinate with customer service to research shipping issuesParticipate in process improvements/LEAN initiativesOther duties may be assignedTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; Associates degree in Business, Logistics, or Planning Management preferred; Bachelor's Degree in Operations, Planning, Logistics, Inventory Management other related business field is desired. Two to four years’ experience in a shipping or receiving environment in a manufacturing setting required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with multi-tasking skills and be detail oriented. Demonstrates logical and creative problem-solving techniques. Effective at both written and verbal communication. Must be able to perform in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate the flexibility to adapt to change and interruptions without losing efficiency or focus. Computer skills a must with experience in Excel, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Navision preferred. Must be able to work with diverse group of individuals. #J-18808-Ljbffr TBS Companies
