Quality Inspector

Job Title: Quality Inspector Job Description Join our team as a Quality Inspector on the 1st shift, with flexible hours from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm or 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of our products by using advanced tools and equipment to ensure precision and quality. Responsibilities Use profilometers to check surface finish and record results on designated forms. Operate microscopes, micrometers, and roundness gages, and accurately record results. Inspect parts from operator's machines using various gages including air gages, concentricity gages, plug gages, dial bore gages, and drop indicators. Report any non-conformances to the Quality Manager. Interact with production personnel and members of management as needed. Perform special quality tasks and reporting as needed. Essential Skills At least two years of related quality experience in a metals environment. Experience in measuring parts. Proficiency in computer skills including SPC Charts. Basic math skills. Ability to use basic instrumentation such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and profilometers. Ability to read blueprint dimensions and a basic understanding of GD&T. Additional Skills & Qualifications Knowledge of roundness gages, air gages, concentricity gages, plug gages, dial bore gages, and drop indicators. Experience from a grinding or precision machining experience. CMM Experience, preferably with ZEISS. Experience working with very tight tolerances. Work Environment You will be trained on the 1st shift (7 am - 3:30 pm) for two weeks, with flexible shift options for skilled individuals, including 2nd shift (3:30 pm - 11 pm) and hours of operation from 6 am to 8 pm. Work in a very clean and temperature-controlled environment, collaborating with operators on the floor as well as in the quality lab. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Arlington Heights, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
