CGL is a provider of justice facility planning, design, and program management and maintenance solutions to justice facilities and other public facilities throughout the U.S. and internationally. CGL Facility Management, LLC provides comprehensive contract facility maintenance services to commercial clients. A Brief Overview The Electrician will be responsible for both preventive and corrective electrical maintenance work and minimal installations for our client, and may be assigned work outside the electrician's duties. What you will do

• Repairs, installs, replaces, and tests electrical circuits, equipment, and appliances, including high voltage and AC/DC circuits.

• Inspects, tests, and performs preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment, lighting, signal, communications, and power circuits.

• Isolates defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical equipment using testing instruments.

• Repairs and replaces faulty switches, sockets, and other electrical system components, including fabricating electrical control panels.

• Dismantles electrical machinery and replaces defective electrical or mechanical parts.

• Maintains emergency generators and high-voltage switchgear.

• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

• Inspects completed work for conformance with requirements of local building and safety codes.

• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures and according to the standards of CGL Facility Maintenance, OSHA, and our clients.

• Maintains a clean and safe workplace while and after performing maintenance tasks.

• Trains other technicians in various skillsets, including some basics of the trade. Provides mentorship, oversight, and direction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required

• 4-6 years construction or maintenance experience in commercial environments required

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Superior client relations in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to read and decipher blueprints, as-built construction documents and electrical diagrams.

• Complete all documentation required in compliance with a computerized maintenance management system.

• Must be a team player, have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and desire to succeed.

• Must provide outstanding customer service to meet the needs of our client.

• Requires a self-motivated, team player who can multitask, and prioritize as well as demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to interact effectively with our clients.

CompensationWe are committed to offering competitive and equitable compensation. The hiring range for this position is generally between $27.98 to $35.81, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. Final salaries will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, licenses, certifications, and/or experience. In addition to these factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the general Hiring Range for the role.
