For more information, visit As a Seasonal Registered Nurse, you will provide support and advocacy services for a unique population of professional athletes during a premier summer sporting season in Saratoga Springs, New York. This seasonal, on‑call role does not require routine onsite clinic coverage. Instead, you will be available to respond as needed and report to either Saratoga Hospital or Albany Medical Center on event days. Coverage is required Thursday through Sunday in July and Wednesday through Sunday in August. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced RN who enjoys working independently, coordinating care, and serving as a trusted advocate for patients in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. The ideal candidate is flexible, responsive, and passionate about supporting the health and well‑being of athletes throughout the season. What You’ll Do Assess patient care needs, conduct nursing evaluations, and provide treatment within scope of practice. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare practitioners for further medical evaluation and care as needed. Perform and document medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision). Administer medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice. Maintain medical equipment, ensure a clean and safe environment, and follow infection control procedures. Maintain patient health records to ensure accurate and up‑to‑date records. Educate patients on health promotion and participate in follow‑up care. Perform other duties as assigned. What You’ll Bring Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from a four‑year college or university is preferred. Currently licensed Registered Nurse in the state of practice required. Current certification with hands‑on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services. Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN/COHN‑S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites. At least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic or other ambulatory care clinic. Premise Health provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for Jocky Advocate at a rate of $150.00 per hour for hours worked after being called in to provide services. Separately, Premise compensates team members in this role $80.00 per day for being on‑call.
