Medical Assistant - Per DiemThe Medical Assistant - PD is an hourly, per diem position within our Medical Assistant department, supporting a fast-paced clinical environment. In this role, you will provide both clinical and front-office support to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered care. You will perform blood draws, administer injections, assist with physical examinations, and support workplace health services, while also handling front desk responsibilities such as check-in, scheduling, and phone triage. This is an excellent opportunity for a Medical Assistant with at least 1 years of experience who is comfortable multitasking, working collaboratively with a clinical team, and delivering high-quality service to patients in a dynamic clinic setting.What You'll DoPerform blood draws (phlebotomy) in accordance with clinical guidelines and safety protocolsAdminister injections, immunizations, and medications as directed by providersAssist providers with patient exams, including physicals and workplace health assessmentsPrepare exam rooms, equipment, and supplies for patient visits and proceduresObtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and other relevant patient informationSupport workplace health services, including pre-employment and occupational health screeningsMaintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)Perform front desk duties, including patient check-in/check-out, scheduling, and registrationAnswer and triage phone calls, route messages, and provide basic patient information within scopeCoordinate patient flow to support a fast-paced clinic and minimize wait timesFollow infection control, safety, and quality standards at all timesAssist with supply inventory, stocking, and overall clinic organizationCollaborate with providers, nurses, and other team members to ensure excellent patient careHandle sensitive patient information with professionalism and maintain strict confidentialityQualificationsMinimum 1 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinic or similar healthcare settingProficiency in blood draws (phlebotomy) and administering injectionsExperience working in a fast-paced clinic environment with high patient volumeHands-on experience assisting with physicals and/or workplace health servicesComfort with both clinical and administrative/front desk responsibilitiesStrong phone etiquette and experience answering and triaging patient callsAbility to accurately obtain and document vital signs and patient historiesFamiliarity with electronic health records (EHR) and basic computer skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills in EnglishStrong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritizeDemonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a care teamCommitment to patient confidentiality, safety, and high-quality careAvailability to work on a per diem, hourly basis with flexible schedulingAs a physician-founded and led organization, ensuring everyone has access to quality healthcare is what inspires us.
