Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced ER Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in trauma care and critical care procedures, ensuring patient safety and positive outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and interpret patient vital signs and heart rhythms to identify emergencies quickly.
• Administer blood products, IV medications, sedation, and vasopressors per physician orders.
• Care for critically ill patients, including ventilated and stroke (CVA) patients, following established protocols.
• Manage invasive devices such as central lines, IVs, and arterial lines; perform triage efficiently.
• Follow isolation precautions and maintain infection control standards.
• Document patient care accurately using the EMR system and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active state nursing license (NY or compact); must have already applied if not licensed in NY.
• Possess a minimum of 1.5 years of recent ER nursing experience, with at least 2 years in similar settings.
• Demonstrate clinical competency in cardiac rhythm interpretation, managing multi-organ failure, and ventilator care.
• Be BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certified; proof of certifications required.
• Exhibit strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
