Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced nursing professional with a valid Massachusetts license to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have over two years of experience in Medical-Surgical, Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC), or Intensive Care Unit (ICU) settings, with a preference for those certified in IV administration.

Shift Details

• Shift Type: Day 5x8-Hour (07:00 - 15:00)
• Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
• Patient Ratio: Up to 1:10 at times, typically less

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive head-to-toe patient assessments for initial patient care.
• Administer medications orally, via G-tube and nasogastric tube.
• Perform IV medication administration and document all activities in the electronic medical record (MATRIX).
• Provide care for G-tubes and J-tubes, including flushing, gastric residual checks, dressing changes, and administration of tube feedings.
• Place peripheral IVs and be skilled in phlebotomy.
• Care for central lines (PICC lines and ports), including performing sterile dressing changes and blood draws.
• Carry out basic wound care and dressing changes, drain care, and wound vac maintenance.
• Insert and manage Foley catheters, with proficiency in straight catheterization.
• Administer blood transfusions and total parenteral nutrition (TPN).
• Perform basic rhythm analysis and care for patients on telemetry.
• Provide tracheostomy care and suctioning, and assist in ventilator management (excluding adjusting settings).
• Manage ostomy care, including the application of new bags.

Qualifications

• Valid Massachusetts Nursing License required.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in MedSurg, LTAC, or ICU settings.
• IV Certification preferred, with a requirement to perform IVs.
• Experience with electronic medical record systems; familiarity with MATRIX is an asset.
